Welcome to the Little Frog Families!

This is the site of our Daily Frog Blog, and one of the ways you can keep up with all the exciting goings on in the Little Frog's classroom. Every day, we will post news about our activities, reflections about the things we are learning, and lots of pictures (and sometimes even mini-movies). On the right side of the blogs is a link called, "Follow by email." If you sign up for this, the blog will be sent directly to your inbox. We encourage you to invite extended family members and interested friends to follow our blog, too.

Taking Our Imaginations Outside

This morning the Little Frogs found a big brown box in the room. They were very curious to see what could possibly be inside. They worked together to find a way to open the box.  They tried spoons and forks, fingers and scissors, and finally found a bread knife that worked. While they were working, they tried to guess what was inside.

Once they opened the box they discovered there was a box within a box, which is just simply ridiculous! After box number 2 was opened the fun began!

The box was filled with structure blocks, which can be used to build all kinds of things! Some friends made letters with their blocks while others built bridges, double decker buses, roadways and houses.

Debbie Green even came in to play with our new toy!

After we cleaned up our room, it was time to head out on an adventure! We buddied up and walked across the street to the Art Center.

Our first stop was the "Echo Room," where we enjoy running very fast and making loud, echo-y noises.

Then we headed down the hill where we became knights in shining armor fighting monsters, and a family of bears living in the house.

We figured out how to play some games together.

We took a refueling break and had our Moment of Silence and snack up on the stage.

Then we went back into our imaginations.

We headed off into the deep dark woods.

And found some new art - a giant spider/people web!

And a dragon house!

We tested our muscles, climbing on one of our favorite statues.

Our balance and muscles are amazing!

We checked out where we were on the map.

Made one last stop in the Echo Room, and then headed home.

The Little Frogs LOVE to be outdoors!
