Welcome to the Little Frog Families!

This is the site of our Daily Frog Blog, and one of the ways you can keep up with all the exciting goings on in the Little Frog's classroom. Every day, we will post news about our activities, reflections about the things we are learning, and lots of pictures (and sometimes even mini-movies). On the right side of the blogs is a link called, "Follow by email." If you sign up for this, the blog will be sent directly to your inbox. We encourage you to invite extended family members and interested friends to follow our blog, too.

We're in Charge of Celebrations!

We began our day doing secret things...we even turned off all the lights and jumped out to yell, SURPRISE!, when Danielle came in, because it was her birthday.

Danielle read a new book, It's Not a Box.

We went outside early, because we heard that it was suppose to rain most of the day. We found a box - how perfect.

We came in for Morning Meeting. I'm not sure what's up with our Moments of Silence - they seem to involve a great deal of head holding these days.

We read a Dr. Suess story, The Sneetches (one of my personal favorites). Then began to discuss our morning plans. We were going to decorate cupcakes and have a Birthday Celebration snack and then go over to the Meetinghouse to play some music. However, the Little Frogs decided that they wanted to decorate our room for the party - so we did.

After we frosted and sprinkled our cupcakes, sang Happy Birthday and watched Danielle blow out her candle, everyone started to say how much they wanted their own candles. Then, Danielle announced that that was what she had wished for! So, everyone got a candle to blow out.

Then we had music and decorating.

And a Hug Attack.

And another perfect book, Froggy Bakes a Cake.
