Welcome to the Little Frog Families!

This is the site of our Daily Frog Blog, and one of the ways you can keep up with all the exciting goings on in the Little Frog's classroom. Every day, we will post news about our activities, reflections about the things we are learning, and lots of pictures (and sometimes even mini-movies). On the right side of the blogs is a link called, "Follow by email." If you sign up for this, the blog will be sent directly to your inbox. We encourage you to invite extended family members and interested friends to follow our blog, too.

A Day of Mostly Pictures

The Little Frogs began their day by stretching their imaginations. The multi-colored counting bears were morphed into "blueberries," and served up all over the room.

Calls home were made...

and pirate ships were launched, complete with treasure maps.

Towers were built and train tracks laid.

Then, Danielle caught a moth and our fascination with bugs resumed.

Once again, after we'd examined him closely, we went outside to set him free.

In anticipation of a rainy rest of the week, we went out for some extra time on the playground. Many friends were trying to figure out the very difficult task of sharing. We found it is an easier idea to talk about than to actually put into practice, but we are working hard at figuring it out.

The playground offers friends many chances to exercise their big muscles and to find a wide variety of ways to play together. The Little Frogs organized a game of Red Light/Green Light with our stoplight   and a variety of racing and balancing games. We also brought out some new balls, and there were several simultaneous and unique games that vaguely resembled soccer, baseball, basketball and football. The games appeared to be named after the balls being used, but the rules were relatively fluid and often under debate.
