Welcome to the Little Frog Families!

This is the site of our Daily Frog Blog, and one of the ways you can keep up with all the exciting goings on in the Little Frog's classroom. Every day, we will post news about our activities, reflections about the things we are learning, and lots of pictures (and sometimes even mini-movies). On the right side of the blogs is a link called, "Follow by email." If you sign up for this, the blog will be sent directly to your inbox. We encourage you to invite extended family members and interested friends to follow our blog, too.

Nellie and Princess Froggy Have Arrived!

Today began like any other day. There were puzzles and playdough and telling of stories.

Friends helped Danielle hang their pictures up in their cubbies, so everybody will know where their coats go.

Then we had a little time outside before music class.

With Jenny, we sang some songs that we learned last week, played "Freeze Dance," and practiced our rhythm with our shaker eggs.

At Morning Meeting, we learned that Nellie and Princess Froggy were waiting outside to move into our classroom. We went out to get them and all of their food, and found the perfect spot for them in the room. They were kind of shy and a little afraid at first. Softly, we sang them a song that we'd learned in music class called, "Won't Somebody, Anybody Be My Friend?"

We also went outside and picked them some grass. They liked this very much.

Then we had some time outside. The Little Frogs are learning to play some games together - many of which involve very fast running.

The following set of pictures were taken by a number of the Little Frogs, who are very interested in learning how to use the camera.

Back inside, friends were eager to check on our new friends. We could barely stay in our seats at lunchtime, because we had to see what they were doing every few minutes.

After everyone finished lunch and their jobs, we all sat down in a quiet circle, and everyone who wanted to got a chance to hold Nellie (the braver of the two).

I have to say, the glee on the Little Frogs' faces was a sight to behold. If today is any indication, Nellie and Princess Froggy will not be lacking in love and attention.
