Welcome to the Little Frog Families!

This is the site of our Daily Frog Blog, and one of the ways you can keep up with all the exciting goings on in the Little Frog's classroom. Every day, we will post news about our activities, reflections about the things we are learning, and lots of pictures (and sometimes even mini-movies). On the right side of the blogs is a link called, "Follow by email." If you sign up for this, the blog will be sent directly to your inbox. We encourage you to invite extended family members and interested friends to follow our blog, too.

Falling for Fall

The Little Frogs began their day making some pictures for Carol, who hasn't been feeling well the last couple of days. We hope you feel better soon, Carol!

Puzzles, boxes, and things that go continue to be some of our favorite morning activities.

Danielle's clumsy head knocked down a paper lantern, and out popped a teeny tiny lightbulb, which some Frogs found very interesting to hold and peer inside at the filament.

It was another gorgeous fall day, and the Little Frogs took full advantage of the great outdoors, beginning with Inside/Outside Day with the Turtles.
This photo of Boone and Elise on the tire swing embodies that spirit.

There was a lot of negotiating, sharing, and problem-solving happening between the Frogs.

Old desk drawers became race cars...

And no race car would be complete without a steering wheel!

Monday on Tuesday

Here are some photos of yesterday's activities. We hope you enjoy looking at the photos as much as the Little Frogs enjoyed playing outside on a beautiful autumn day.
(Notice all the smiles :))

In honor of the beautiful weather, Morning Meeting and Snack was held outside in a sunny spot at the bottom of the playground.

For snack, we speared some marshmallows on pretzel rods and "roasted" them over a "fire" of dried leaves and black walnuts.

The Frogs are in the process of building a house out of sticks (also known as a wigwam).
Here is their work-in-progress:

On the way to the creek, we found a very tall TOWER!

Some of us are learning to cross the bridge all by ourselves!

The Frogs found some fishing rods and went fishing. They caught quite a few slippery leaves!

We found a soccer ball on the meadow, played a quick pick-up game, scored some goals,
and relaxed in the sun's rays.

And we hugged some trees... and some friends.

We were excited to discover our shadows in new and different places!

Stay tuned for today's adventures... coming soon!
