Welcome to the Little Frog Families!

This is the site of our Daily Frog Blog, and one of the ways you can keep up with all the exciting goings on in the Little Frog's classroom. Every day, we will post news about our activities, reflections about the things we are learning, and lots of pictures (and sometimes even mini-movies). On the right side of the blogs is a link called, "Follow by email." If you sign up for this, the blog will be sent directly to your inbox. We encourage you to invite extended family members and interested friends to follow our blog, too.

Have A Wonderful Break!

Since it was a bit rainy this morning, we decided it was time to open up the tool bench. We found that there was quite a bit of assembly required, so we got right to it.

Friends had to use all kinds of muscles and tools to put all of the bits together, while Carol worked hard not to have an "Ikea Moment." Lots of the pieces were in constant motion, as friends found novel uses for them. We laughed a lot, and it took quite some, but we finally had a tool bench.

Meanwhile, some friends set up shop, while others spent some quality time with Nellie and Princess Froggy.

At snack time, Carol showed the Little Frogs some of the fruit that she ate a lot of in Cuba. Everyone guessed what it was and what color it would be when we cut it open. Everyone tried it, and most friends decided that they loved mango. Then we cut up the pineapple (the way they serve it in Cuba), and we talked about the way it grows. The pineapple was even more popular.

We had Morning Meeting and read, Silly Sally, about a woman who walked to town backwards and upside down. Then, some friends worked on their art projects, while others headed outside.

On the playground, we did some repairs to our stick house and then headed off to the Puddle Tree, to see how many puddles it held today.

We stopped for a bit to climb the rock pile before heading back for lunch. We got to talk a bit about what we would do over break (friends are wanting to draw many pictures), and we discussed how much we would miss each other. As usual, Danielle and I asked them NOT to eat any growing food. They all swear they are going to be MUCH bigger when they get back.

BYE LITTLE FROGS!
HAVE FUN, WE WILL MISS YOU!
