Welcome to the Little Frog Families!

This is the site of our Daily Frog Blog, and one of the ways you can keep up with all the exciting goings on in the Little Frog's classroom. Every day, we will post news about our activities, reflections about the things we are learning, and lots of pictures (and sometimes even mini-movies). On the right side of the blogs is a link called, "Follow by email." If you sign up for this, the blog will be sent directly to your inbox. We encourage you to invite extended family members and interested friends to follow our blog, too.

To the Library

This morning, we examined our ant farm. Our ants didn't seem to be doing too well, so we talked about what we should do. We could only see a few ants walking around, so we opened the top to get a closer look. Suddenly, the ants woke up! Lots of them started running around. Now, we are not sure what to do with them, although we are leaning toward letting them loose and finding some other ants. We decided to do some research.

We had some time to explore this morning,

before it was time for music class. Jenny brought lots of our favorite things, and we got to sing many of our favorite songs.

Like the Turtle song.

We also sang a new song about rolling a ball around the world.

We sang the Stick song.

We sang a song about the world...

...and the globe ball got stuck in the chandelier. Then it popped and that was the end of the world.

We had a little runaround time before snack.

At snack time, the Chipmunks showed us the butterflies that had come out of their chrysalides.

Then we found some new crawly things of our own.

Then we headed out on our adventure for the day.

The Little Frogs are very curious about all manner of flying, crawling and growing things. We had lots to look at and think about.

We shared the camera with friends for the rest of the morning...

We made plans.

Visited our zebra finches...

...and met some new friends.

We avoided the sharks that live in the hallway...

...our art...

...and other people's art.

When we got to the library, friends returned their books and Helen helped us check out new ones.

Friends have really learned how to use the library, and have gotten very good at finding books that really interest them.

We stopped outside to take guesses at this weeks, "What Is It?"

We took our books out to the playground, and friends had a chance to show their books to their friends.

We had some runabout time, to climb and race.
