Welcome to the Little Frog Families!

This is the site of our Daily Frog Blog, and one of the ways you can keep up with all the exciting goings on in the Little Frog's classroom. Every day, we will post news about our activities, reflections about the things we are learning, and lots of pictures (and sometimes even mini-movies). On the right side of the blogs is a link called, "Follow by email." If you sign up for this, the blog will be sent directly to your inbox. We encourage you to invite extended family members and interested friends to follow our blog, too.

The Little Frog Rock N Roll Band

The morning started off nice and calm! Some of our friends dressed up, some played with play dough, others read books and baked!

We used the dough that we made yesterday to make our own personal pizzas. We had to form our dough into the shape we wanted our pizzas to be. Some friends made it flat and round while others preferred it to be crazy shapes. Next, we had to spread the sauce and sprinkle the cheese on top! In keeping with our map theme we made a map of our pizzas on the pan so we knew whose was whose.

While we waited for our pizzas to cook we headed to music class. Jenny taught us a lot of fun songs about the snow! She even had a big white sheet and tiny pieces of fabric that we pretended were snow and snowflakes. When we threw them in the air it looked like it was snowing.

After Music we had our Morning Meeting and Moment of Silence. Many of our friends are becoming really good at staying stil and quiet! Carol then read us a book titled Me on the Map. It was a big hit with the Little Frogs! We are getting so good at reading books that we can tell you what "Illustrator" means!

After our Morning Meeting it was Choice Time. Today our options were blocks, sandbox, books, snack and the easel. Most of our friends chose snack so they could eat the delicious pizzas that we worked so hard on!

Some of our friends chose to draw while others were practicing writing their names!

Next was the construction zone! Yes, hard hats were required. The Little Frogs are working on making sure that their buildings are safe! To practice we held up a green paper which meant that it was okay to build, yellow meant we needed to slow down because it was becoming to wobbly, and red meant to stop and fix it!

We then realized that we have a talented group of Frogs that love to play instruments. So together we built some drum sets, harps, and guitars out of blocks. We call ourselves THE LITTLE FROG ROCK BAND! Our concert was sold out by two of our biggest fans Danielle and Carol. We chose to sing the Rock N Roll version of the ABC's! Here is a link to our music video! Little Frog's Rock N Roll Band. After our sold out tour, we headed outside to play with our friends!
