This morning Carol brought in a GIANT ROLL of PAPER, that she was going to use to cover the table. However, the Little Frogs got very excited about the paper itself. So, we abandoned covering the table and focused on the paper itself. Unrolling it was an activity in itself, and then we got out our scissors and practiced cutting.
As a number of friends have been interested in cutting material, we got out some fabric to see what our scissors could do. Some of it, friends noticed, looked like spider web.
Turns out that large pieces of paper are also good for making "Boy Burritos."
After borrowing a bag of tennis balls and donning boots and slickers, we headed off to the tennis courts. On our way, we found some ants...
and once there, we discovered many, many worms.
Some of which we decided to rescue.
And we discovered some truly beautiful spider webs.
Back for Morning Meeting and snack,
then it was time for Choice Time. We opened the water table and experimented with color mixing in the studio area.
Yellow and blue made green.
Next, we got out all of our Guinea Pig questions and a book we had found about guinea pigs. We found many answers to our questions by looking through the book.
What guinea pigs eat...
...if you can pet (or brush) them...
and where they live. It was good to discover that books are one way to find answers to our questions.
