Welcome to the Little Frog Families!

This is the site of our Daily Frog Blog, and one of the ways you can keep up with all the exciting goings on in the Little Frog's classroom. Every day, we will post news about our activities, reflections about the things we are learning, and lots of pictures (and sometimes even mini-movies). On the right side of the blogs is a link called, "Follow by email." If you sign up for this, the blog will be sent directly to your inbox. We encourage you to invite extended family members and interested friends to follow our blog, too.

Saying Goodbye to Nellie

This morning, I brought in my press and we decided who wanted to put what on the t-shirts, Tomorrow, we will be having our own mini Olympics out in the soccer field (so please make sure your tiny person is wearing good running shoes).

Meanwhile, other friends were doing some shopping..

...some drumming...

...and some building.

Then it was time for Movement Class with Missy.

We stretched our muscles, pretended to be all kinds of animals,

and played t-ball!

Back in our room, we had snack and gathered for Morning Meeting. Carol had some sad news to share with friends. Some friends wanted to talk a bit, while others needed to move their bodies. We talked for a little bit, and then got on our boots and raincoats and headed outside.

We took a walk over to the "jungle," where we got to be monkeys in some wet trees.

Then we went to explore the stables, where they use to keep horses and now they have other cool stuff (although we think it smells a little like horses, still).

We played in some puzzles, and practiced making footprints until they disappeared.

Then we headed back inside, where the Frog's got down to building all kinds of things with all kinds of blocks.

While we built the morning away, we took some time to talk about the things we loved about Nellie (some friends had things to say, and some did not). Here's what some Frog's said:
  • That you could feed her. I love about Nellie just playing with me (in the morning, in the classroom by myself)  Kevin
  • I love her squeaking  Katy
  • I really miss her  J Miles
  • I like that you calmed her down at bedtime  Hannah
  • I like about not giving her toys (keeping her safe) and not the squeaking, and don't forget to give her squeaky toys and don't forget to give her food and don't forget to clip her toenails  Tori
  • When she was sick  Elise
  • Taking her out and holding her in my lap  Mason
