Welcome to the Little Frog Families!

This is the site of our Daily Frog Blog, and one of the ways you can keep up with all the exciting goings on in the Little Frog's classroom. Every day, we will post news about our activities, reflections about the things we are learning, and lots of pictures (and sometimes even mini-movies). On the right side of the blogs is a link called, "Follow by email." If you sign up for this, the blog will be sent directly to your inbox. We encourage you to invite extended family members and interested friends to follow our blog, too.

An Ode to Leaves

We did lots of things today, and the happiness level was wonderful. However, by far the best part of our day came in the form of a GIANT leaf pile, made for us by our friend, Dave (and fluffed up for us after we had flattened it out). We jumped in the leaves, we buried ourselves and our friends, we threw leaves in the air, and Leaf Monsters jumped out to scare us into fits of giggles. So, today's blog entry is an Ode to leaves - and also includes the lyrics to our new country western song about leaves:

Our Leaf Song

I've got leaves in my pocket
I've got leaves in my shirt
I've got leaves in my ears
And it doesn't even hurt!

I've got leaves down my pants
I've got leaves in my hair
I've got leaves up my nose
And I don't even care!

Other stuff we did today:

Blew up balloons and flew them around the room.

Alphabet puzzles.

Movement Class with Missy.

Played outside with our friends.

Worked hard at our Moment of Silence.

Studied different kinds of faces and how to draw them.

Read a Big Book called, Each Peach Pear Plum, and voted on whether we liked it or not with a thumbs up, thumbs down or thumbs sideways.

Found a stick with mysterious markings, and tried to figure out how they got there.

It was a pretty great day.
