We had LOTS of work to do today, which began with some carpentry in the block area.
Then we got some more seeds ready to sprout.
Animals were rescued from the Flubber.
And the tool bench itself apparently needed repair.
Pirates and robots invaded the room. Battles ensued.
New books were read.
An elephant even showed up!
Many of the Little Frogs have reached a new developmental level in their play, and imagination is ever more evident and important. This increases the complexity of play a hundredfold, as friends have to move from negotiating the concrete to figuring how to work together in pretend realms. It's a very exciting development, which we are happy to say, comes with GREAT costumes! (If you have any really cool additions to our costumes, we would appreciate them. We have a specific shortage of sunglasses - which are required for many different characters).
Then, we had a dance party.
After our Moment of Silence...
...we read a new book, Planting A Rainbow, and then talked about what we might want to plant out in the garden.
Then we had Inside Outside Day with the Turtles. Outside, we mixed up flour and water to make some very sticky dough.
Inside, we read books, helped with an art project and played in the sandbox. Soon, it was time for lunch and our daily sharing of stories. Another lovely day!
