Welcome to the Little Frog Families!

This is the site of our Daily Frog Blog, and one of the ways you can keep up with all the exciting goings on in the Little Frog's classroom. Every day, we will post news about our activities, reflections about the things we are learning, and lots of pictures (and sometimes even mini-movies). On the right side of the blogs is a link called, "Follow by email." If you sign up for this, the blog will be sent directly to your inbox. We encourage you to invite extended family members and interested friends to follow our blog, too.

Packing Up Our Wagon

The morning began with Alexander taking some pictures - it's so nice to have other photographers in the room.

Then, while some friends worked to free the dinosaurs from the Flubber Pit...

...we started mixing up a new batch of play dough.

We are learning to read the recipe - which has photos, words and numbers - and we practice counting as we go.

We decided on orange today, which meant we had to add a lot of red and yellow.

Next, we gathered for Morning Meeting. We read a new book, called Dog Breath, about a dog with horrible breath who comes to the rescue. Next, we talked about our plans for the day. We were heading over to the Big School to see where our artwork was hung (so that we can show our families on Friday).* Also, we were going to take our lunches with us, to eat in the cafeteria.

We were very proud to see our art hung on the walls.

Then, we decided to peak into the auditorium and see what was happening. We were amazed to find a whole new set on the stage!

We sat down in the front row and tried to figure out what kind of story might be acted out on a stage that looked like this.

We were very happy when our friend, April showed up to answer some of our questions and hear some of our ideas.

She brought out the small model of the set that she had made, before she built the big one. Friends looked at what was the same and what was different.

Then, we went out to the "Aquarium" and sang our song and pretended to be fish.

We went outside and worked on our balancing skills on the wall.

And at the playground.

Many friends were busy building levers and slides.

They figured out how to get the plastic bowls to fly into the air...

...and roll down the slope. We were very busy at the playground.

When we got really hungry, we headed over to the cafeteria to eat our lunches.

It was fun eating with the big kids and, for dessert, we had cupcakes that J Miles and his mom brought for us.

After, we loaded up our supplies and headed back for a well earned rest.

*Don't forget the Art Show on Friday!
