Welcome to the Little Frog Families!

This is the site of our Daily Frog Blog, and one of the ways you can keep up with all the exciting goings on in the Little Frog's classroom. Every day, we will post news about our activities, reflections about the things we are learning, and lots of pictures (and sometimes even mini-movies). On the right side of the blogs is a link called, "Follow by email." If you sign up for this, the blog will be sent directly to your inbox. We encourage you to invite extended family members and interested friends to follow our blog, too.

Making Stuff

It was a lovely early morning in Frogland. We checked on Alexander Flubber...he had gotten very flat.

We had some refreshments in the kitchen.

Played our new spinning circles games.

Took extra safety precautions.

And flipped Alexander over, to see what he would do.

Then we headed outside for a weather check. It was chilly, but not "see your breath" cold.

We did some very innovative building.

Then had Morning Meeting.

We read a new book, Monster's Playhouse. It did not get good reviews. Critics felt it was sort of scary and kind of sad - the happy ending did not alter these opinions.

We kept checking in on Alexander, who was doing some amazing things.

After snack, we planted our pineapple top. It's suppose to get roots.

At Choice Time, many friends worked on their characters for our book. They used the reference pictures we found yesterday to help them figure out what to put where.

We also brought the water table into our room. It was, again, a very popular choice. (If you notice that your tiny person is wearing a different shirt on pick up, blame the water table.)

Outside, the Little Frogs have begun to make up even more games. The rules tend to be fairly fluid, but they are excited by the process. Friends are working harder to find ways to mesh their games and interests - their are many phases of negotiating, disagreeing and renegotiating on the playground. It is a wondrous process.
