Welcome to the Little Frog Families!

This is the site of our Daily Frog Blog, and one of the ways you can keep up with all the exciting goings on in the Little Frog's classroom. Every day, we will post news about our activities, reflections about the things we are learning, and lots of pictures (and sometimes even mini-movies). On the right side of the blogs is a link called, "Follow by email." If you sign up for this, the blog will be sent directly to your inbox. We encourage you to invite extended family members and interested friends to follow our blog, too.

Apologies and updates...

First of all, we apologize for skipping the blog on Friday; it was a busy, busy day, but we didn't have the camera with us for most of the morning-- OOPS!!!

Next, unfortunately, today we are having technical difficulties and aren't able to upload today's photos.  We hope to fill you in on all the many fun things the Little Frogs did today tomorrow (keep your fingers crossed).
And, finally, here are some photos from Friday...

On Friday morning, we began with some squishy FLUBBER to cut, roll, and mush.
We call it flubber, but it has many other appropriate names, as well.

There were some very large "puzzle pieces" all over the room, and the Frogs enjoyed jumping from one to the next and trying to put the puzzle together.

Some puzzle pieces became umbrellas, which protected us from the spaghetti rain.

And then, in usual Little Frogs fashion, another fun and unpredictable element was introduced: YARN!!!

We used the yarn as leashes to pull around all sorts of pets-- large and small-- and learned that we could pull harder and faster if we enlisted the help of our strong Frog Friends.
We also practiced some knot-tying with the yarn leashes.

After our morning activities, we went to the Upper School Library to visit Miss Balloon Heart, the balloon lady!  She put on a wonderfully silly show, and some of us were even asked to perform in the show!

Then, off we went to meet some friendly scarecrows all over the Middle and Lower School campus.

By the time we returned to our playground, the Little Frogs were exhausted from all the fun and very hungry for lunch.  Beverly joined us for lunch, and she noticed that many of us are learning to open our own lunch snacks and eating all of our growing food!  This is very exciting and important, as it will help the Little Frogs to grow big and strong-- the two things they are all anxious to be.

Monday to come soon... Thanks for your patience!
