Welcome to the Little Frog Families!

This is the site of our Daily Frog Blog, and one of the ways you can keep up with all the exciting goings on in the Little Frog's classroom. Every day, we will post news about our activities, reflections about the things we are learning, and lots of pictures (and sometimes even mini-movies). On the right side of the blogs is a link called, "Follow by email." If you sign up for this, the blog will be sent directly to your inbox. We encourage you to invite extended family members and interested friends to follow our blog, too.

Pulling Out All the Stops

Carol update: Carol is feeling better little by little. She came to visit the Little Frogs classroom yesterday afternoon, and we gave her the drawings we made for her.
She had such a good time, she visited us again today during lunch!
Chances are she'll be back again for another visit tomorrow...

Today began with some new Morning Activities: some sorting plates, fabric-cutting stations, and a very big and windy train track.

We sang some of our favorite songs during Morning Meeting, and then realized that we hadn't held the guinea pigs in a while. The Little Frogs remembered to be calm and quiet when holding Nellie and to pet her from the front to the back. They are natural nurturers.

By then, the rain had slowed, so we decided to go outside for a little walkabout. Frogs, unlike guinea pigs, do NOT like to be cooped up! Of course, as soon as we were far enough from the building, it began to rain frogs & toads. This is the kind of day for pulling out all of the stops... so, we brought out a special kind of "ball" that grew, and grew, and grew so big that the Little Frogs could walk inside of it! We rolled it, held it above us, pretended it was a spaceship or a giant bubble, and marveled at the spectacle.

After a very fun and funny lunch with Carol, all the Frogs nestled down while Carol read some of our favorite stories, including Should I Share My Ice Cream? Every one of the Little Frogs napped quite soundly today and woke up rejuvenated and ready for the next big rainy day spectacle.
