Welcome to the Little Frog Families!

This is the site of our Daily Frog Blog, and one of the ways you can keep up with all the exciting goings on in the Little Frog's classroom. Every day, we will post news about our activities, reflections about the things we are learning, and lots of pictures (and sometimes even mini-movies). On the right side of the blogs is a link called, "Follow by email." If you sign up for this, the blog will be sent directly to your inbox. We encourage you to invite extended family members and interested friends to follow our blog, too.

A Fun and Funny Day

We ended the week as we had begun- busy, busy, busy. Light box faces lit up the cubby sheet, and there were blocks to balance, puzzles to assemble, and beads to string.

At Morning Meeting, we had a Moment of Semi-Silence (some days, that's all there can be), and sang one of our new favorite songs. Then, we talked about our bean sprouts - they were ready to eat today!

Then, our Special Guests arrived - Alexander's mom and dad! Brian read us two books: Maisy Goes to the Hospital, and Maisy Drives Her Bus. Most Frogs liked both books.

Then, we had an amazing snack: Jill and Brian brought in a traditional Norwegian food called, lefse. It is kind of like a tortilla, but it has potatoes in it. They served it to the Little Frogs with strawberry jam, and they were delicious!

We also had out bean sprouts - most everyone tried them and about half of the Frogs ate a bunch of them (some even had more for lunch). We are fairly certain that many of the Little Frogs are taller today, after having eaten all of that growing food!

After snack, Alexander's dad read us, The Polar Express, and friends enjoyed the story and finding the train on many of the pages. At the end, the boy gets a magical bell from Santa's sleigh. So, when we went outside, we took some jingly bells with us.

Some friends got together and sang and played a song with them.

We had some time to work on out Stick House, which is actually starting to look like a house!

Friends had to use a lot of muscles to get the sticks the right length and in the right place. We were ready for lunch when we went back inside. At lunch, things got very silly, and all of the Little Frogs had one HUGE laughing fit (partly because Danielle was being so silly). It was a very fun and funny moment, in a very fun and funny day.
