Welcome to the Little Frog Families!

This is the site of our Daily Frog Blog, and one of the ways you can keep up with all the exciting goings on in the Little Frog's classroom. Every day, we will post news about our activities, reflections about the things we are learning, and lots of pictures (and sometimes even mini-movies). On the right side of the blogs is a link called, "Follow by email." If you sign up for this, the blog will be sent directly to your inbox. We encourage you to invite extended family members and interested friends to follow our blog, too.

Friendship Parade

The Little Frogs' morning started off with Morning Meeting and a Moment of Silence. When it was time for our Moment of Silence, we took a deep breathe, closed our eyes and thought of... Carol! We then sang our song. Some friends pretended they were monsters, cats, dogs and race cars.

We also hid to suprise one of our friends, but he found us!!

The Little Frogs tried to figure out what this spot, marker, play dough, scarf and frog all had in common. They guessed it! They are all purple! We then celebrated by dancing to the "Purple People Eater" song. During Morning Meeting, the Turtles came in to invite us to the Friendship parade they were having. We happily accepted the invite!

We then read Down in the Cool of the Pool. This book was a Froggie Favorite because it recieved thumbs-up by all! Our choices for Choice Time were Flubber, Books, Blocks, Dramatic Play and Flag making. We made beautiful flags for our Friendship parade. Some of the flags said, "I love you," "Do you want to play?," and one flag had monsters and pirates being friends.

We went outside to find big sticks for our flags but ended up running away from a monster, shark and giraffe! Once we ran far enough away, we started our stick search. The Little Frogs taped their flags onto their poles and were ready for the parade.

We met the Turtles and Sunflowers on the playground. The Turtles brought out the sign they had hanging in their classrooms that had all of the mean words friends would say to one another.  Dave brought over his bulldozer and picked the sign up to take it to the dumpster. We followed behind him shouting "Kindness!" We all cheered very loudly when the Meanness sign was gone and the dumpster was shut.

We finished our morning playing together nicely at the playground!
