Welcome to the Little Frog Families!

This is the site of our Daily Frog Blog, and one of the ways you can keep up with all the exciting goings on in the Little Frog's classroom. Every day, we will post news about our activities, reflections about the things we are learning, and lots of pictures (and sometimes even mini-movies). On the right side of the blogs is a link called, "Follow by email." If you sign up for this, the blog will be sent directly to your inbox. We encourage you to invite extended family members and interested friends to follow our blog, too.

A Happy Valentine's Day

This morning, the counting bears came out and got into all kinds of mischief. They were in flying saucers, in jail and stirred up in soups.

We got out our big map of the United States and tried to figure out where Danielle went. Then friends began planning trips, noticing things on the map and drawing out their routes.

We finished up part of our secret project.

Then we went for a Gorilla and Snake walk down the hall and down the stairs. This is both a great deal of fun, and a good way to develop some different muscles.

At Morning Meeting, we read, The Great Fuzz Frenzy. This book got almost all thumbs up and a new "Thumbs Out," which apparently signifies that it was very funny.

Then we planted seeds. This was the last step in our Secret Valentine's Day Project. Should one of these pots find it's way to you, you should know that they contain Alyssum - a small purple flower that should start to grow in a couple of weeks, if kept moist (I recommend making this the responsibility of your tiny person, if you have a small container they can manage0.

Outside, we had lots to do...rocking...

...hoop chasing...

...defending our pirate ship...

...building towers...

...shopping...

...and digging.

Inside, Ariell read us, A Giraffe and a Half, which is also a very silly, very rhyming story. Then we looked at some clues, in the form of photos, that Danielle had sent us so that we could try and guess where she is and what she's doing. We saw that she was outside, somewhere where there is snow. The Frogs guessed she was sledding, but when we sent her our guess, she said "No," and sent us another picture:

This led to even more questions and guesses, and we are now waiting for more information. Stay tuned for the continuing saga of, "Where in the World is Danielle?"
