We introduced a new track to our room today-one that would allow the Frogs to assemble it themselves. We are also working on developing a greater sense of where our bodies are in space - in relation to the toys we are using and to one another. The track provides an opportunity to maneuver in close proximity to one another and try and keep the roads together at the same time. There were lots of "road repairs" today, and a lot of fun.
At one friends request, we also got out the watercolors and had a lesson in how to use them. Friends had fun creating and experimenting and producing some beautiful art.
At Morning Meeting, a friend brought in his book and CD, Puff the Magic Dragon, and friends enjoyed both listening and singing along.
Our friend the Turtles followed the green arrows to our bulletin board and then to our mailbox. This is our suggestion box to use for getting more ideas and information about sticks. Please feel free to add your own thoughts to our project.
Outside, we discovered some major changes in the leaves. We had our magnifying glasses with us, and noticed how big they made our heads look!
And some more interesting sticks...
...many of which were quite peel-y.
We also attempted to measure our stick in Little Frogs. Turns out it was 4 and 1/2 Little Frogs long.
Then we went into the Lower School, and spotted lots of cool things on the walls.
We visited the library to pick up some new stick books, and return some books we had borrowed.
Then we found some objects on the table with a box that said, "What Is That?" So the Little Frogs took turns guessing and Carol wrote down their answers and put them in the box.
We got to spend some time at the kindergarten playground.
We also spent some time at our rock pile - building all kinds of muscles.
Please remember: Tomorrow is picture day!
