A giant bear came to our room this morning, and was promptly and thoroughly wrestled and hugged.
Early on, we started in on making cookies for our friends.
Before we finished, it was time for our last Movement class with Missy (we spent part of our morning making her a big "Thank You" card).
We played all kinds of games to music, and really got our bodies moving.
Then we played with the hula hoops - spinning in them and twirling them and landing inside of them when the music stopped.
Then Missy got out one of our favorites - BUBBLES! We raced around the room, jumping and popping them.
Too soon, it was time for stamps and goodbyes.
We gave Missy an extra special Hug Attack!
We spent time outside - hunting for bugs, playing knights,
and being Monsters!
Then, we went inside to finish our cookies and have snack.
After our Moment of Silence...
we read a new book called, Do You Know Which Ones Will Grow? Friends had to figure out which things were the kind that grow, and which are not ("If a snakelet grows and becomes a snake, can a cupcake grow and become a cake?")
Then, we worked on making a list of people we want to take cookies to - friends who have helped us out this year, like Gwen the librarian and Dave the caretaker. We will be making deliveries later this week.
Then we packed up our lunches and headed out for a small walkabout.
We went to the Big Kids' playground to test out our growing muscles.
Then we ate lunch outside with the big kid's. A couple of times it got windy, so we had to hang on to our food!
It was a lovely morning.
