There was a rocket ship in our room this morning, and a great deal of negotiating around what it should be doing and where it was going.
Other friends explored some new finds and shared some book time together, while we waited for all of our friends to get in.
Then, we started an early Inside Outside day, to try and beat the heat.
Inside, there was clay, beads, wire and snack to choose from.
We spent some lovely moments in the cool of the air conditioner, reading some new books.
Soon it was time to give our tents a test run. The first one popped up so quick, it surprised all of us! Then we had t o test how many kids could fit in it...
...turns out about 10! (A few less for laying down purposes).
The next tent was slightly more complicated, but also pretty fun to put together. It took some definite teamwork.
The Turtles were eager to help.
This one also held a lot of people...
...even laying down. We also started to put together the third tent, but by then, we had more tiny helpers than we could mange, so we'll leave that one for tomorrow.
We went in for yet another new, classic book. This time, it was The Three Little Pigs. The Frogs LOVED this story, especially the parts they could say along with the pigs and the wolf.
Over a long luxurious lunch, we planned tomorrows trip to the grocery and added a couple of things to the menu. We are very excited!
