Today, almost all of the Little Frogs were back, and we were SO HAPPY to see each other! We did all kinds of things, in our room and out and about. For Free Choice time we painted with watercolors, reconnected with the guinea pigs (who came out of their cage to be petted),
and checked out some of the new items in our dramatic play area.
We discovered an empty tub, which is almost exactly Little Frog size!
And lots of new books in the book area for Firefighters on their break.
Our new dragon was also quite popular.
At Morning Meeting, we had another lovely Moment of Silence, and all the Frogs shouted, "I DID IT!" - a very noisy end to the quiet.
We read a new book called, Kevin and His Dad - which we thought was funny, because we have a Frog named Kevin, and he has a Dad named Kevin!
After MM, we all put our coats (and hats and mittens) on and went for a run! We raced to the Puddle Tree and back again. Then we came back inside, because it was FREEZING outside!
We had lots to do in our room. The block area was open, and lots of building was going on. Danielle helped friends figure out how to take turns and who would get to knock over the tower, and when.
Other friends went to the Art Area to work with stickers and stamps.
Then, we made play dough. It takes lots of measuring and counting and stirring.
Next, we bundled up again to take a walk over to the Lower School. We had books to return to the library.
On the way, we stopped to listen to the band playing.
And to look at all of the neat art and displays on the walls.
We stopped in to the kindergarten classroom, because we had some questions to ask them. We wanted to know what the deal is with losing teeth. Turns out many of the kindergartners have lost teeth, and they were eager to share their stories with us.
They are working on turning heir room into an airport, and they invited us to come back and see it when it's finished. We bundled back up and headed to our room for lunch and conversation. It was good to be together again.
