The tiny frogs came out this morning, and then they disappeared! Next the Frogs began to draw treasure maps and search the room for hidden treasure.
After Moment of Silence, we read a book called, Pirates Don't Change Diapers, and then discussed our plans to go out on a treasure hunt.
After snack, Danielle had some terrible news - pirates had came and kidnapped Hoppity and Bumpity, as well as a bunch of their tiny frog friends! We would need to go out to the cemetery with our treasure maps and track them down! We were Frogs on a mission!
With maps and binoculars and bags in hand, we set off and quickly began locating some of our tinier friends.
It was not easy to juggle all of our equipment, but we persevered.
We finally located out friends up in a tree, and there was much cheering and celebration.
Then we headed to the playground, where we enjoyed revelling in our new levels of friend-ishness.
We also worked a bit on our stick house....
and carefully examined and dissected our bird's nest.
Inside, we read, The Paper Bag Princess, to generally good reviews and sang goodbye to our half day friend. Lunchtime was a silly mix of laughter and singing some favorite songs - many times with new, made up lyrics!
