Today was Teddy Bear Day! All of our friends were able to bring in one of their special stuffed friends! Since our special visitors never had Morning Meeting or a Moment Silence before we had to explain to them what we do. Our stuffed friends are great listeners because they were able to do the Moment of Silence.
Next, we headed outside before it began to rain.
Katy brought her polka dot bear.
Tori brought her elephant.
Alexander brought his big brown bear.
Kevin brought his Red Dolphin.
Miles had his Moo Cow.
Elise had her Orange Turtle.
Evan brought his Camel.
Mason brought his puppy.
Our stuffed animals loved swinging on the swings and sliding down the slide! Some had so much fun they may need to take a bath when they get home!
We then headed inside to have a dance party with our animals!
Some of the Caterpillars came to our room to visit Princess Froggie and Nellie.
Danielle read us a book called My Friend Bear. The Little Frogs are getting good at looking at the pictures to figure out how the character may be feeling.
Not only was today Teddy Bear Day but it was also Kevin's birthday! He is now four years old! Kevin's mom brought in delicious cupcakes and juice boxes for us! The cupcakes had Lightening McQueen and Mator rings on them! We got to lite a candle and sing Happy Birthday!
After we were finished eating out snack and got all cleaned up, Kevin's mom read us a book! We love it when our family members come and spend time with us!
Before Choice Time we got out the drums and played. This a great activity because it helps work our fine and gross motor skills! We are also learning about rhythm and how to play together.
Our choices for Choice Time were Flubber, Books, Blocks, Dramatic Play and Animal Making.
While some friends played with the blocks others helped make enough flubber to fill the water table. This was a lot of work as well as messy! (If your Little Frog comes home with Flubber on them, in their hair, or on their clothes, it comes out with vinegar.)
For safety we wore our safety goggles when mixing. Friends had so much fun getting messy!
One friend made his Giraffe out of different shapes, while another started work on his character, "Mrs. Icicle."
When then cleaned up for a quick story and to eat our lunches. We did not want to get our animals dirty so we had them eat at another table. We told them "NO GROWING FOOD!" but they did not listen.
